An Ravelingien

An Ravelingien has a Masters degree in Moral Sciences (2001). In September 2006, she obtained a PhD in Philosophy at Ghent University with a dissertation on the ethics of xenotransplantation. Most of her work on this subject has been published in international peer-reviewed journals on transplantation and medical ethics.
In January 2007, An started working at the Department of Philosophy at Ghent University as a postdoc research fellow. She has worked on the ethics of emerging neuroenhancement technology research and clinical trials. From 2011-2015, An was a member of the GOA research team dedicated to qualitative research regarding assisted human reproduction, in particular: the views and experiences (of patients, DI offspring and donors) related to the use of donor gametes.
Since October 2015, An works at AZ Delta on issues related to ethics and patient experiences.
